The Rettenbachklamm, a valley portion of the Save Bach (Steinbach), is the only gorge in Graz city area. A walk through the small canyon in a varied, natural area unfamiliar surroundings is especially appealing. The trail leads through the weedy ravine forest along the Rettenbach to the hamlet Wenisbuch. The special climatic conditions (cool summers – mild winter temperatures) in the gorge are particularly the various ferns and mosses impressive and worth seeing.

The Hilmteich, a popular destination of the Styrian capital Graz. This pond with a landscaped park-like green area on the edge of Leechwaldes offers attractive recreational possibilities: walking and forest walkways, climbing, adventure park, resting and picnic areas, boat trips on the lake and in the winter the possibility to go ice skating – enough room so for recreation and Relaxation.
